This interactive session is an opportunity, as people of faith, to reflect on the underlying issues of the lightning speed development of AI. On the one hand, supporting its positive applications, while on the other hand, questioning the potential dangers in its misuse.
Abigail Rian Evans, M.Div., PhD, L.H.D., professor emerita, Princeton Seminary and senior scholar Pellegrino Clinical Center of Bioethics, and adj. Prof. Dept of Family Medicine, Georgetown Medical School. Presbyterian minister for over 60 years as missionary, pastor, preacher, bioethicist, author of numerous books and articles, and government consultant including on the Clinton White House TF on Health Care. Honors include Who’s Who in Theology and Science, Who’s Who in America, and recipient of US House of Representatives Proclamation (2017) in appreciation of her outstanding contributions in health care and women’s advocacy work. She is the mother of 4 adult sons (including Rev. Tom Evans) and 13 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
